Does your dog play with other dogs?

I have just come back from a walk with my dad and his two dogs and it got me thinking about dogs playing with other dogs, because my dads two dogs constantly play and chase together when on walks, whereas when I take my two out my Springer will constantly stay with me waiting for commands and what direction to hunt in and my mutt will either walk with me or go chasing squirrels.
My mongrel will play with other dogs occasionally but they tend to be Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Weimaraners, Mongrels or Lurcher/Greyhound/Whippet type dogs. And my Springer NEVER plays with other dogs, ever. Then at the end of our walks, as we come across the last field the two will have a good chase with one another.
So do your dog(s) play with other dogs, and/or have preferred play mates?

Why are dogs not allowed on Brighton Pier?

I visited Brighton yesterday with wife and dog, nice day and we were going to take a turn on the pier having been on the beach. For some reason they now do not allow dogs on any part of the pier. Can anyone explain why (if you are anti-dog don't bother answering)

Why do dogs eat cat feces??? How do you stop this behavior?

There really is no solid explanation as to why dogs like to eat feces.
If you catch your dog eating it, you can scold him/her by firmling saying, “NO!” and directing him to his own food bowl.
There are also products that you can use that give the feces a really bad taste that deters them from eating it.

Dogs for rape victims/victims of crime *Serious Answers Only*?

I'm doing some research on the many reasons why people purchase dogs and right now I'm covering rape and crime victims purchasing dogs for protection. Does anyone know of any kennels that cater to this demographic? As dog owners or dog enthusiasts, do you see a problem with people buying dogs for this reason?
